art project
this is for a few projects I'm centering around the main theme of dreaaaams. those lovely gorgeous flights of fantasy that take us on a trip to our unconscious every night.

i'd like you to write your most recent dream, no matter how dull, insane, lucid or uncontrollable it was. i'm going to bottle it in a jar and fill it with smoke and take a photo of it! a dream catalogue.

if possible, more than one would be great.

i'll start off, my dream last night was a mixture of call of duty and dead rising. it was lucid. all my friends were there (ALL of them) and some family and we were in a train station-come- shopping mall. i was hunting for an ice cream stand with mum when all of a sudden these army guys came stamping in and started mowing people down with guns, swords, grenades... it was carnage. they were claiming everyone was a zombie but they obviously weren't. the army guys were zombies killing people so they could turn into zombies. i was running up stairs in a volley of shots, everyone else was dead, i was leaping over dead bodies to try and get to safety when i got shot in the head, right above my right eyebrow. it was a flash of hot, white light when i died in my dream. it was so lucid though that i hate dying in dreams so much that i came back to life. i wasn't invincible and everything hurt but if i tried really hard i could stay in the game. i was lying in a pile of bodies at the feet of an army personnel who hadn't noticed i was alive when one of the zombies started attacking my shoulder and i had to try and kill it with a biro. it was a tougher level zombie and took forever to kill and i remember saying 'I hate these ones' when the army guy noticed me and I think I died for good... i got a bit bored with the dream, it went on for a while.I think I just decided to stay dead. it was very video-game-ish.

so yeah, now i've got that freakyness out in the open, don't be shy!

Borneo - Glowing with goodness
I'm going to Borneo for five weeks in July.

I went to a trade fair yesterday and picked up a load of leaflets. I'm going to learn a language, become a volunteer dog walker and charity jar collector and go to Borneo for five weeks in July to help build churches and schools and stuff!

Yeah it's going to be amazing. We're going to Sabah, the northern part of Borneo. I'm going with the D.A.R.E. team for 4-5 weeks and we're going to be working through one of the local churches called Skyline and an organisation called Habitat for Humanity. We'll be teaching street kids english and maths at a centre, helping the church teach kids too poor to go to school and being a buddy for children with special needs and probably at another centre for autistic children. We're also going to do conservation stuff, so we're going to a rainforest to check out what they're doing to stop logging and we'll probably get to join up with a house build in the North through Habitat for Humanity. Also we're going to a deaf school and using their funds to build a school for them!
NOT ONLY THAT but we're going scuba diving in the sipidan, visiting the orangutan sanctuary, going to turtle island to help release baby turtles and climbing the highest peak in S.E. Asia - Mount Kinabalu.

PHEEEEEWWW. HOLY MOLEY MATE. I am SO hyped up about it.

I really want to buy a fancy camera so I can take some really amazing photos to show people how awesome it is. Ahhh it would be so goood,,,

Oh yeah I'm also going to have my first group exhibition on the 15th at Duncan of Jordanstone Matthew building. It's going to be awesome, we're raising issues about what's acceptable and not acceptable concerning art and nudity, children and nudity, models and starvation and so on.. It's going to be awesome. Then we have another exhibition in a different gallery for the self portrait assignment we had over christmas.

Oh ho, I HAD forgotten about that! It's good to know that someone is indebted to me. I did have several buckets worth of fun in Cyprus, as well as a large pint of good times.
